Well, ok, the pattern hasn’t changed but now its available as a pdf. I’ve finished editting and formatting and fiddling and the pdf for Ninja Minions is here! (Originally published here.)

Rodney the Frog Prince is in the final stages of preparations for release and will hopefully be out this week. He will be the first pattern publicly available from the ‘Only One Spell’ book.

The pattern for Rodney the Frog Prince is now with the testers. I  expect he’ll be ready for release sometime next week.

Today I’ll format the ninja-minions pattern as a page rather than a blog entry and possibly as a pdf download.  May send that to the testers as well for a quick proof read.

I have to wander off to the post office at some and start work on either Wayne-the-cow-that-jumped-over-the-moon, Ed-the-zookeeper, or Bruce-as-a-kangaroo… Probably won’t be the kangaroo – I only got 5 hours sleep and need all of my concentration before I try work on that paattern…

Finished doll #7 for ‘Only One Spell’ – this is Lex’s Mum, she has no other name thus far…. suggestions on a postcard ;)

Lexs Mum

Lex's Mum

Making her hair took nearly as long as making the rest of her. She has a light pink shirt and a white apron = it’s difficult to see the difference in this pic. I’ll see if I can do better later. She’s  larger than the Wizard Lex, Master Woodland and Isis the cat with the fiddle dolls. She’s the same size as The Man In The Moon.

I’m testing the pattern for Rodney before sending it off to my pattern testers. I’m also going to check the ninja-minions pattern and create a page for it on this blog – until then it’s available by clicking on the ‘patterns’ category. I’m hoping to make both patterns available as pdf downloads soon.

Tomorrow I’ll be making either a jersey cow or a zookeeper…. I’m not quite ready to start on Bruce-as-a-kangaroo.

Pattern written using American crochet abbreviations. I can do a version
with UK abbreviations if anyone wants it.

Body

1 – Sc 6 into magic ring
2 – (2sc in next st) 6 times – 12sts
3 – (sc in next, 2sc in next) 6 times – 18sts
4 – (sc in next 2, 2sc in next) 6 times – 24sts
5 – In back loop, sc around
6-12 – sc around
13 – in black sc 8, in white sc 8, in black sc 8
14 – in black sc 8, in white sc 9, in black sc 7
15 – in black sc 9, in white sc 8, in black sc 7
16 – (sc in next 2, sc2tog) 6 times – 18 sts
Begin to stuff before the opening gets too small.
17 – (sc in next, sc2tog) 6 times – 12 sts
18 – (sc2tog) 6 times – 6 sts
Slip st in next st, then every other stitch around, finish off, leaving a 3″ or so tail. Then using a needle, run the thread through body to hide it. Cut yarn.

Ear (make 2)

Ch7. Skip 1 ch, 1sc in each of next 5 chain, 3 sc in next chain, rotate
work and sc in each st (down the other side of the original chain). This
will give you 13 sts in a rectangular shape with one rounded end.
